If you are traveling to and from the hotel by plane, train or bus, then there is a free shuttle service that can pick you up and drop you off. If you are driving, then you'll find the property to be right next to the freeway.
Guestrooms display a really good level of cleanliness. The beds are comfortable and rooms are well appointed with all the amenities you'll need for a relaxing stay. They bathrooms are nice too, with decent showers. In the morning you can have a tasty breakfast in the sunshine and then chill out by the swimming pool, which well sized.
The employees here are friendly and very helpful. Whether you are dealing with the front desk, the waiting staff or the person who runs the shuttle service, you will find them to be incredibly thoughtful and polite. They will do their best for you.
The air-conditioning units are really loud to the point where they are annoying. If you decide to unplug yours, you might then find that the room gets too hot. You might be able to hear what is going on in the neighboring rooms as well.
Certain aspects of this hotel are showing their age. A bit of a revamp would freshen things up a little.
While most guestrooms at Best Western Plus The Inn at Smithfield are of a decent size, some are quite small and a few of the beds seem slightly undersized as well.
