Guests find it relatively easy to find the Howard Johnson Inn Brownsville in Texas, as the there is plenty of signage, and it is quite a short drive. The ease of access makes it convenient for guests who have spent many hours of travel.
For those who are on vacation with the family, the rooms are fortunately pretty spacious, where the children can find a space of their own, while the adults watch TV, or cook dinner. At least you can unpack all the suitcases.

There have been quite a number of reports from different travelers about the state of some of the rooms after their arrival. They have found unmade beds, dirty bathrooms, and the trash can still full from the previous guests.
There is a choice of both smoking, and non-smoking rooms at Howard Johnson Inn Brownsville, however it would seem that some visitors do smoke in those rooms reserved for non-smokers. Rooms are stale and musty, so bring your air freshener with.
The website advertisers the rooms with a coffee maker, however there have been complaints from visitors that there was no coffee, or coffee maker in their room. You could try to request one down at reception, you might be in luck.
