Cancun Bay Resort is well positioned, in that it sits close to a number of restaurants, bars and shops. You can be in the entertainment district with a short walk. The beach is lovely and, if you don't feel like leaving the resort, there is plenty to enjoy, such as the jacuzzi and its bar.
Everywhere displays a good level of cleanliness at this resort. The guestrooms are comfortable, with decent mattresses and well-functioning air-conditioning. The bathrooms are decent as well.
The staff here are really friendly and attentive. They all speak fluent English as well, so you will have no trouble being understood. The food they serve is of a good quality, especially the Mexican meals, and they offer a wide selection of drinks in the bars too.
The Wi-Fi connection at Cancun Bay Resort is pretty hopeless. You are unlikely to be able to connect at all from your guestroom and even in the lobby you'll have a hard time logging on. If you do manage to get online, you might find the connection to be incredibly slow.
Some previous guests have noted that, while clean and tidy, a few areas of the resort are starting to look a little dated and could do with being refreshed.
The lack of elevators at this property means that you might have to climb a number of stairs to get to your room. This may prove particularly troublesome if you are carrying lots of luggage or if you have mobility issues.
