Hotel Casa Del Mar (Santa Monica, USA)

The hotel overlooks the ocean and many guests appreciated the convenience of having the beach on their doorstep. Guests enjoyed having early morning walks on the beach whilst others had their morning coffee on their balconies whilst taking in the picturesque scenery.

Guests were very complimentary of the hotel's lounge area describing it as elegantly decorated and a very pleasant place to sit and enjoy a few drinks. Many also enjoyed spending time in the hotel's restaurant which was said to have lovely uninterrupted ocean views and equally stylish and tasteful decor.

Those who dined at the on-site restaurant said that the quality of food exceeded their expectations and that there was a wide range of dishes on offer on the menu to choose from. If you like fresh seafood and fine wines then you will certainly enjoy your dining experience here.

The outdoor pool was described as rather small, as guests found it inadequate for swimming, referring to it as a dipping pool. Due to its size, the pool as well as the surrounding pool area was said to be often crowded which made some guests reluctant to use it.

Inadequate insulation and soundproofing meant that guests were able to hear noise from the adjoining rooms as well as those above them. Some also objected to the noisy plumbing which could be heard when other occupants used the bathroom.

Some of the rooms have been described as quite small, as guests said that they felt rather disappointed upon seeing the size of their suites. Many commented on feeling cramped and not having enough space to stow away their belongings.
