The Casa do Médico de S. Rafael meets all the conditions for the enjoyment of a few deserved days of rest. It is a “perfect site, with a splendid view, calm and well-located in the city.” In the main building, which has two floors and attic above ground plus a basement, the reception, the halls, the restaurant and bar, a library, support offices, media room, outdoor seating areas facing the sea, as well as all service areas needed: kitchen, toilets, laundry, facilities for staff and storage. The new adjacent building has two floors above ground, where are the bedrooms, all with private bathroom and storage area, and a basement which houses the parking area and the technical areas needed for a site of this nature. The two buildings of St. Rafael Doctor’s house are connected by an indoor walkway that allows for easy communication between them and both are equipped with security systems against fire and intrusion.
