Five en-suite rooms are uniquely furnished with colourful decor, including original art work, antique cabinets and tiled mirrors. Guests have a private shower and hair dryer. Guests said that the host of this guest house couldn't have been more helpful. From his responsiveness to pre-arrival e-mails, to his friendly yet unobtrusive demeanour, guests would return to Casa Do Rio - Tavira Inn just for the host.
Guests were smitten with rooms that had been lovingly cared for and decorated. With a comfortable bed, great shower pressure and hot water, and plenty of towels, guests had all of the comforts of home amongst interesting decor.
A dip in the spacious swimming pool was the perfect way for guests to end a busy day of sight-seeing. Guests found the pool to be well cared for, with the owner personally attending to cleaning and other upkeep. As an added bonus, guests often had the pool all to themselves.
For the most part, guests weren't bothered by the nearby train bridge, but extra light sleepers might want to keep this in mind. A few guests commented that trains could be heard with the windows open, but that trains travelled with less frequency at night.
Casa Do Rio - Tavira Inn is equipped with a forced air ventilation system that does the job to keep things cool most of the time. However, guests staying during the warmer months were sometimes inconvenienced with an additional charge for an air-conditioning unit.
A few guests noted that this property wouldn't be an ideal choice for people with mobility issues or those with lots of luggage. While plenty of stairs also meant great river views, this could be a problem for some guests.
