Hotel Château Repotel Henri IV (Québec-City, Canada)

If you're like most people, you appreciate the rare privilege of a free meal. At the hotel, you can take advantage of a fresh continental breakfast featuring coffee, teas, juice and an assortment of pastries and cold favorites.

Only about ten miles from downtown, the Château Repotel Henri IV is just off of the freeway, making it a quick car ride into the city. Staying here is a great way to avoid the traffic and noise, but still close enough to easily access fun museums, parks, restaurants, and nightlife.

Since the hotel rests on the edge the city, the atmosphere is a little calmer and more serene, the air is a touch on the fresher side, and the rooms are regularly cleaned and well lit. You'll appreciate the conditions and ambiance after a long day of work or sightseeing.

Although most guests found the hotel up to snuff, some guests felt the rooms were in need of some renovation. Problems included older, stiffer mattresses, antiquated and allergenic carpeting, and bathroom fixtures that could use some updating.

As some prior visitors have mentioned, the hotel is pleasant but very stripped down and simple. You won't find a valet or concierge service here, the rooms are fairly Spartan, and the hotel doesn't have any onsite dining, aside from a light breakfast.

If you're the kind of person who needs to be where the action is, the Château Repotel Henri IV might be too far removed from the city. Although right near the highway, the hotel is still a ten minute drive or a one hour train ride from Quebec City.
