Guests were quite pleased with their accommodations at City Express Tijuana Rio for the most part, with clean and secure rooms, good air conditioning, and secure parking. The hotel's complimentary area shuttle is also very convenient, with a large radius and an option to be escorted all the way to the US/Mexican border. In addition, guests also appreciated the friendly and attentive staff at the hotel.
The daily breakfast buffet is not to be missed with a quality selection of items including fresh fruit, healthy options, and good coffee. The food is said to be quite tasty and worth the wakeup call.
City Express Tijuana Rio is situated within a central location, close to shopping and many dining options. In addition, the hotel is only five minutes from the US/Mexican border, ten minutes from the airport, and ten minutes from the trendy Paseo de Los Heroes Street.
If you're arriving by car, guests say that the parking lot has relatively tight spaces so you may want to be careful if you have a large vehicle.
Some of City Express Tijuana Rio's rooms have mild disadvantages, like a small square foot area, poor water pressure, and lower quality furnishings, including uncomfortable beds. Some guests were also displeased with the poor lighting in the rooms.
Though most guests did not have any complaints, several reported having trouble with the hotel's Wi-Fi connection, and problems with the TV signal.
