Conveniently located just a few hundred yards from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, the Clarion Campus Area offers comfortable chain hotel accommodation and some excellent leisure amenities. The rooms are simply furnished and decorated, but feature all the practical amenities necessary for you to enjoy your stay, from hair dryers to flat screen TV’s. All rooms are smoke free. While the lovely indoor pool and whirlpool are the stars of the show, a solid supporting act is delivered by the fully equipped fitness center, where guests can continue with their workout routine uninterrupted. Business people have a business center available to them, while pet owners will be happy to learn that pets are welcome. A complimentary grab and go breakfast is available every morning. The Green Mill Restaurant and Bar is onsite and serves the other two meals. The University of Wisconsin’s Eau Claire campus is less than a mile from the hotel.

One of the first things guests mentioned in their reviews was that the staff were truly wonderful. Guests felt that they extended a warm welcome, and had the sort of friendly, but professional, attitude that made them easy to approach with a question or concern.
The overwhelming majority of guests who brought up the question of value for money felt that they received good value during their stay. They believed they got a clean room in a great location for a very reasonable price.
Guests who were traveling with their pets felt that they were truly welcome at the hotel, rather than merely being allowed to stay as a matter of policy.
It was near impossible to find any kind words written about the grab and go breakfast. Guests said that it simply didn’t have a good enough variety of foods available to generate any excitement. Several also said it was virtually 100% carbohydrate based, the other two macronutrients not being represented at all.
There were a good many noise complaints in the reviews. Guests mostly complained about other guests who were noisy, especially in the hallways, but some also said that the rooms were not well soundproofed and that they could hear even normal sounds from neighboring rooms.
A number of guests mentioned that it was clear that the rooms had not seen a major renovation in a very long time. They believed that they would soon need one if the hotel was to remain competitive.
