Stroll barefoot through Punta Leona’s beautiful, white sand beach or take a dip in one of the hotel’s three outdoor pools. Guests say both are a major highlight of the resort. Visitors also couldn’t help but be amazed at the wildlife all around the property. The variety of exotic birds and monkeys are both delightful and entertaining to watch.
Guests felt very safe at Punta Leona and were impressed with their security procedures. The hotel is inside a secure, gated area. To enter, one needs to obtain a pass, and wristbands must be worn when on the property to show that you are a guest. However, guests also said if you’re planning on leaving the resort, you may want to avoid flashing your wristband in public.
The rooms at Punta Leona are clean, comfortable, and have everything you need. Guests appreciated the strong air conditioning, as well as the many convenient amenities in the rooms such as the minibar and refrigerator, personal safe, and the coffee and tea making facilities.
Most guests weren’t too impressed with the food at the resort’s restaurants. The menu selection is limited and the food is mediocre. The standard alcohol drinks are also not very impressive, and the bar uses lower-quality liquor brands unless requested.
