Coastal Waters is a family-friendly waterfront vacation apartment hotel near New Smyrna Town Beach and Marine Discovery Center. Apartments provide full kitchen, one or two bedrooms, sitting area, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, private bathroom with shower/tub combination and hair dryer. Co-joining apartments are also available. An outdoor pool and wading pool with lounge and patio area is available for guests. Free parking is provided. Front desk offers tours and tickets assistance and manager is available 24 hours. Restaurants and cafes are within a five minute walk, for example SoNappa Grille or C’s Waffles. 27th Avenue Park is right next to the hotel. Coronado Beach House Historic Site is a little over a mile away. The area provides plenty of beaches to enjoy. New Smyrna offers many antique and art boutiques.

Guests were happy with the cleanliness of their rooms and the property cleanliness overall. The suites that are family friendly have plenty of room to offer. Having a kitchen makes a longer vacation stay a breeze. The pool area is nice and most of the rooms offer a beach view of some sorts.
Many guests left positive reviews about the staff and the way they were treated. Though it is not a 24-hour front desk they will be there to answer questions, give directions and recommendations.
Being near the ocean, and in a good part of New Smyrna Beach which makes it easy to also explore the area around the hotel and the other small beach towns nearby this hotel has a good location for most guests. Restaurants and shops are in walking distance.
Some guests felt that the property and the rooms could do with an update, as the building and the furniture is a bit tired looking. But there were no serious complaints about bad experiences other than looks.
Some guests experienced problems with the Wi-Fi connection while staying here. If this is important to you you might want to ask for a room near a router, as the distance to it seems to be a problem.
The suites have one central air conditioning unit which does not give you an extra unit for the bedroom. You might have to leave the door open to the living area to achieve the temperature you want.
