Breakfast is quite a bit better than that served in many hotels. It's hot, varied, well presented and there's plenty of it. The little bonus and one appreciated by many guests is the fact that coffee is available throughout the day in the lobby.
The hotel is very clean and friendly and the hot tub provides a wonderful way to unwind after a stressful or energetic day. Members of staff are excellent, particularly those on the front desk. In many ways they ‘save the day’ and create a positive image which is retained in the memory of guests … ensuring that many return here next time round..
The location is good and the hotel is in a pleasant, wooded area. One consequence is that it is as quiet as you can reasonably expect a hotel to be.
Corridors are untidy and don't form an attractive approach to the rooms. Some rooms smell strongly of chemicals … you have to assume that these are used to mask something more sinister. Possibly it could be to cover the smoking of previous guests, or simply to cover up an otherwise smell of staleness. Either way, it’s not nice.
You can see the bright sign from the main road ... but it’s a mystery as to how to actually get to the hotel itself. Signage is much needed.
With highly sophisticated booking systems, there’s no excuse for double booking a room. It’s very embarrassing for all concerned to be given the key to a room, only to find someone has beaten you to it and you are responsible for invading the privacy of other guests.
