If you are looking for a hotel with its very own Starbucks, then you'll certainly want to stay at Courtyard Boone Hotel. Fans of this coffee chain love the fact that they can order their favourite lattes and mochas without even needing to set foot outside the hotel. The lounge area is also a great place to relax and plan the day's activities.
Many guests felt the hotel's location was perfect for their needs. It's ideal for anyone visiting Appalachian State University and it's also convenient for skiers looking to visit Appalachian Ski Mountain, which is just a 20-minute drive from the hotel. There are also plenty of things to do near the hotel with numerous shops and restaurants nearby.
The food at the hotel's Bistro Restaurant comes recommended. The food is tasty and ranges from light meals such as Chicken Caesar Salad to more filling dishes like a herb-roasted half chicken. The prices are also reported to be reasonable.
Several guests disliked the fact that breakfast is not complimentary. They seemed to agree that, given the room rates charged, a free breakfast would not be an unreasonable expectation.
Some guests found it a challenge parking their cars in the car park. It seems that the spaces are on the small side and not sufficient to meet demand at times. At such times, the hotel will issue an overflow pass which allows use of another car park next door.
There are reports of busy traffic in the area which can cause a noise disturbance in rooms at the front of the hotel.
