The hotel is ideally located for guest to explore all that Syracuse has to offer; the eponymous university is within six miles of the hotel and easily accessible by the highways which are conveniently located beside the hotel. Guests can also explore the area in the immediate vicinity of the hotel which is populated by a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants that should satisfy all guests' interests and tastes.
Staff at this Days Inn location are extremely friendly and personable, going out of their way to provide great customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that will make guests feel at home upon arrival. The staff are more than happy to help with providing information about the area or the hotel itself and fulfil any requests or queries guests may have.
The complimentary breakfast was deemed satisfying and tasty by the majority of guests who thought that there was a wide selection of fresh food that met an array of dietary restrictions and tastes. However, a small number of guest felt that breakfast could be improved though the majority considered the breakfast to be a highlight of their stay.
Guests found that their en-suite bathrooms were rather small and they felt cramped when inside them. Some guests found that they had trouble closing the door as the toilet was fitted so close to the doorway.
The hotel appears somewhat tired, as if it has seen better days and some guests felt that it was in need of renovation or a modern makeover. However, according to some recent reviewers the hotel appears to be under renovation so this complaint may have been rectified.
A number of guests found that their rooms smelled like cigarette smoke and that a musty smell clung to the hallway.
