Cefalù is not a great place in the terms of ‘huge' - but it is a great place! It's reputed to be one of the most beautiful places on Sicily; can't argue with that! Many apartments have a balcony and sea-views. If booking well in advance, it's advisable to specify these as requirements. There's a charming old town, a lovely beach and some genuinely friendly locals. A real taste of Italy!
Some apartments are closer to the old town and beach than others. However, because this isn't a huge city, all these things are irrelevant. The beach and old town are never very far away. A pleasing plus, generally, is that a requested doubled bed is just that; not two ‘singles; shoved together. Success!
Some kitchen areas are the bees' knees; others are pretty dire and if your intention is to self-cater, you need to specify and agree the facilities you need.
It can get a bit noisy at night but, in the heat, you'll dither before closing the window.
