Close to Vienna City Hall, the Do Step Inn offers guests an affordable space to explore the city from.
Newly renovated, every room is modern. Those staying in the dorm-style rooms can utilise the free Wi-Fi and shared bathroom facilities. Guests staying in the Inn portion of the building enjoy single or double occupancy rooms, which also have televisions and private bathrooms.
Those staying at the facility can enjoy a game of pool or chess in the games room. The property has shared kitchen facilities and communal sitting areas where those staying at the hostel can get to know each other.
The Do Step Inn serves a buffet breakfast daily.
Those interested in local history can walk to the Schönbrunn (Sissi) Palace, or enjoy shopping in Vienna’s shopping district, Mariahilfer Strasse. The Westbahnhof Train Station is minutes away as well.
Many guests liked the fact that this hostel is right across from the train station, which means that you can easily catch public transportation into the centre of the city. Several guests also said that you can walk into the city centre in about 20 minutes if you want to.
The Lobby Staff is Willing to Assist
Guests love the fact that the lobby staff is always friendly and ready to assist. Several guests said that lobby staff members helped them plan their travels around Vienna, suggesting attractions to visit and shortest routes to take.
The Rooms Are Very Clean
According to several guests, this was one of the cleanest hostels they had stayed in. The housekeeping staff does a very good job of not only doing basic cleaning, but making sure that each room is almost spotless.
There is No Wi-Fi in the Rooms
Many guests were disappointed by the fact that it is nearly impossible to access the free Wi-Fi in most of the rooms. You will probably have to go to the lobby to use it, which guests said is very inconvenient.
The Lobby is in a Separate Building
Many guests thought that it was both odd and inconvenient that the lobby of this hotel is actually located in the building next door. If you want assistance with something, you will have to go outside and enter the other building in order to talk face to face with the lobby staff.
The Bathrooms Are Communal
Guests all agree that there are not enough bathrooms for the number of guests when this hostel is full. Some bathrooms have to accommodate up to 8 guests at once, which can create lines and other problems.
