Hotel du Vin York

Du Vin York is a small 4 star boutique hotel located on a quiet residential area of York known as the Mount. This area is within a few minutes walking distance of the historic town centre and all of its attractions and it is a popular area for hotels and guest houses. This hotel occupies a large Grade 2 listed building that was once a private house and later became an orphanage. The building dates from the 19th century. There are 44 rooms each of which have been individually designed and feature modern amenities and the latest technological equipment including a high speed wireless Internet connection throughout the building. A few of the rooms have been adapted to suit the needs of disabled guests. The Du Vin chain of hotels all feature a trademark HdV Bistro and this property is no exception. This bistro features private dining areas for its guests and also includes a bar. There is an outdoor seating area available for al fresco dining when the weather is fine. Reservations for dinner are usually essential. Du Vin York has its own private car park available for an additional fee of £10 per day but spaces are limited.
