Most rooms have been updated, which guests really liked. Many felt that the beds were comfortable, the room clean and that it gave plenty of space especially when travelling with family in a two bed room. While the hotel is a basic hotel, the amenities provided like a fridge and microwave are great when you stay longer.
The hotel is near the beach and downtown and not too far off many major sights. The interstate is not far if you want to venture beyond the town. Guests liked the ease of arrival and being able to see Corpus Christi without having to take a car.
Many guests felt that the staff was very nice and helpful. If there were any issues they tried to resolve them and helped when they could. They can also help you with getting an idea what is worth checking out in Corpus Christi.
Some guests felt that this hotel is not in the best neighborhood. The area is more of a business neighborhood. There have been no incidents reported so it is more of a feeling than a proven problem.
Some guests felt the rooms were smelling a bit musty and were humid. This is usually due to the air conditioning turned low when no guests are in the rooms, and might happen in a lot of hotels which are in a humid area. If you set the air conditioning on high the problem should solve itself.
Some guests had noise issues due to the proximity of the interstate or simply from other guests. If you would like to get a good night's sleep a pair of earplugs might help with the issues.
