The inn may a luxurious property in town, but most of the guests are unanimous in claiming that the accommodation has a great value for money. Room rate is really cheap without the state of cleanliness and comfort being sacrificed.
Since the property is within a short distance from the Mt. Hobson and Remuera, guests rated its location highly. It is very easy to find, and only a stone's throw from the New Market and several parks in the neighbourhood. Moreover, a hospital and convenience store are nearby.
Staff members were praised for their friendly and honest service. A lot of guests appreciated their enthusiasm, and commented that they seem to enjoy doing their job. They never denied any request and were always ready to take on any questions of guests about the inn and the area.
Many of the previous guests were put off by the exterior of the property, especially the garden. The reported that the grounds were full of webs and overgrown. There were also cobwebs everywhere and garbage plastic piled on the side.
According to guests, some of the bathroom amenities are faulty such as noisy toilets that always keep on flushing, and hairdryer that was taped and worked only when its button was held. Other guests also complained that the bathrooms were too small, and the towels were threadbare.
Since the property nestles at the bustling part of the city, the rooms are quite bombarded with various noise from the nearby road. Furthermore, guests also complained about being disturbed by other people from adjacent rooms due to ineffective sound insulation.
