The B&B is located just a few metres from the Pontchartrain Expressway, a busy section of road that generates a lot of noise. In addition to noise disruptions, past guests have been put off by the homeless village that has emerged beneath the expressway bridge, and is said to be visible from some rooms at the B&B.
According to reports, several of the B&B's guestrooms include bathroom facilities that are not separated from the room itself, either by a door, curtain, or other divider. For some, the lack of privacy that comes with this set-up can be a little awkward.
Past guests arriving in the evening have found the B&B unmanned, a situation that can lead to problems. In order to check-in, guests are required to telephone the innkeeper to get a door code, which can prove to be an expansive phone call for international travellers. Meanwhile, those arriving to find their accommodations unsuitable may find it tricky to remedy any issues arising.
