The hotel provides complimentary continental breakfast, a heated pool, free parking and a complimentary shuttle to Disney World and Universal Studios. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but the neighborhood offers plenty of choices within walking distance. The Floridian Express Orlando is less than two miles from Universal Studios, Pirate’s Cove Dinner Adventures and Titanic the Experience. It takes 13 minutes to drive to downtown Orlando and 21 minutes to get to the airport.

The hotel's location on International Drive puts it within walking distance of tourist attractions like Wet n' Wild and Pirate's Cove Dinner Adventures. Guests also appreciate the many diverse restaurants near the hotel and the proximity to shopping.
Guests stated that the grounds and rooms were sufficiently clean with fresh towels and linens being provided on a daily basis if desired.
Guests appreciate the possibility of taking the hotel's complimentary shuttle bus to Universal Studios and the Disney Resort, but it is worth pointing out that this service only runs twice a day.
Guests reported that they witnessed many signs of the hotel's aging process, as it lacked smoked detectors, provided very old TVs and several broken items in the rooms such as coffee makers, hair dryers or furniture. Even in the common areas this need for renovation was evident, since the ice machine and laundry room token machine did not work at times.
Given the tropical climate in Florida, it is difficult to ward off excess moisture, but guests report that the hotel is doing a very poor job of doing so. Guests cited mold evident in the bathrooms, on curtains, walls and carpets, which produces a nasty odor.
Several guests found bugs in their rooms such as roaches, and more specifically what appeared to be bed bugs sharing their beds, since guests noticed conspicuous bites right away.
