For other meals the restaurant and romantic terrace serves creative Greek dishes, focusing on local produce. The beach is the main focus, but there are several ancient Greek, and later, ruins less than one mile from Galaxy. Naxos Airport is just 1.8 miles away.
Guests have almost only good things to say about the location of the Galaxy. They describe the position as ideal for a beach holiday, it being only 100 yards away. Most people found the walk into the village of Naxos quite pleasant during the day.
The hotel has been recently renovated to a high standard. Many guests appreciated the new and luxurious surroundings, but at the same time found the staff to be friendly and unpretentious. It was a happy combination.
Aside from the location, the pool area is what is most mentioned. When going on a Greek Island holiday, of course guests expect their hotel to have a great pool. In this case they were not disappointed, making a point to praise the layout and facilities.
Only a couple mentioned this, but it seems that the air conditioning is not adjustable in-room. Of course, every person has their own temperature preference, so this caused some unhappiness.
A surprising number of guests mentioned some sort of problem with the beds in their room. Quiet a few found that their rooms contained two singles, even though they specified a double in their booking. There were also several guests who mentioned that their bed was much too hard to enable them to get a good night's rest.
This was not a common complaint, but a few guests did mention being unhappy with the size of their rooms. Since this is a resort hotel, rather than one in a trendy and expensive city centre, they expected the rooms to be bigger.
