Located right on the sparkling shores of the Bahamas, Grand Lucayan has a huge beach right outside of its doors. It’s big enough to accommodate all of the guests, and still make it feel like it’s your own little private beach.
A majority of the rooms come with a view, and it’s not one easily forgotten. With windows that overlook the beaches and water below, it’s easy to get swept away by the beautiful nature of the Bahamas.
Right across the street from the hotel is a marketplace that’s full of restaurants and shops. If you need a break from the beach, it’s the perfect place to spend your day, as you have many different places to pick from.
While the hotel is fairly priced, there are a few things that might be added to your bill, such as gratuity. This comes as an unexpected surprise to many.
Because Gran Lucayan is geared toward tourists, you can expect there to be quite a few salespeople walking around trying to sell you things. This can be annoying if you’re trying to relax.
If you’re staying below the 4th floor, you might find you don’t have much of a view. If it’s important to you, ask reception to have a room higher up.
