A Grassetti Farm stay means: -sense of hospitality in a little corner of paradise: early 1900s, stone manor farm, completely refurbished interior, hidden in Mediterranean maquis overlooking the deep blue Jonian Sea, 200 m above sea level, with the Gulf of Taranto below. - exploring the land trough its cuisine: Punto Ristoro near Montegiordano old village, 500 m above sea level with its private chapel and porticoed out-building for outdoor dining to taste traditional specialities. - the perfect starting point to discover the lands of Calabria, Basilicata and Puglia close by, including the Pollino National Park, one of the most intersting park of Italy, with the famous "Loricato" Pine. Outdoor portico, vegetable, garden, fruit orchard and stunning views of the bay and surroundings wheat fields and grives with well over 2000 olive trees. A short walk or bike ride away the archaeological village of Pitagora several deserted farmhouses, an old mule trail and a tiny church (dedicated to the madonna della pastorella celebrated each July first Sunday). At just 2 km the beaches and a main road connect the manor farm to other major towns and villages and the shores of Montegiordano (2 km), Rocca Imperiale (3 km) and Roseto Capo Spulico (5 km).
