The hotel is located steps from Court Church, the Imperial Palace, Tyrolean Provincial Museum and the Golden Roof.

Guests raved about the Grauer Bär's wellness area, located on the top floor of the hotel. Guests especially loved the spacious pool area and the new rooftop whirlpool tub - both featuring breath-taking views of the mountains. Bathrobes and towels are both provided, creating a spa-like experience. Regardless, make sure to book a treatment at the onsite spa - which also gets many compliments.
Grauer Bär boasts a fantastic, city-central location in Innsbruck. Guests were impressed that virtually everything was nearby and extremely convenient. Furthermore, the hotel has great public transportation connections and is close to the main railway station.
Before a long day exploring Innsbruck or hitting the slopes, a decent breakfast must be had, and Grauer Bär delivers. The hotel serves a huge buffet with quality food and both hot and cold options. Guests loved the buffet, saying that everything was delicious. In addition, guests also complimented the onsite restaurants similarly. For dinner, you can choose to also dine with a buffet or a la carte. Furthermore, the onsite bar is open late, so you won't miss your nightcap.
The hotel is partly renovated but some rooms are still a bit shabby. While guests loved the beautiful lobby, they weren't so thrilled with the appearance of the hallways or their rooms.
Most guests found it annoying that the onsite bar allowed smokers - as a result, the bar area tends to smell of cigarettes quite strongly. Some guests said it was enough to change their mind about getting a drink.
Many guests were disappointed that no kettle or coffee maker was provided and would have preferred to have coffee and tea making facilities in the room.
