Like most visitors, guests here had come to see the Old City. They were therefore very pleased indeed to be in a gracious hotel not only right in the heart of the Old City, but essentially part of it; in a lovingly restored older building with all the modern conveniences.
It was pretty much impossible to find a harsh word written abut the staff. Guests mentioned again and again how fantastic they were, from the warm welcome offered by reception, to the friendliness of the staff serving breakfast, guests felt they were a credit to the hotel and embodied the mindset essential in a truly luxury hotel.
While it is the only meal offered by the hotel, guests felt that the breakfast offered by the hotel was truly excellent - to many, one of the best they had ever had. While guests enjoyed the breakfast as a whole, the croissants were said to be especially good. One could do no better, even if quickly dashing to Paris to compare.
One of the few issues that was brought up more than once was that the room lighting could be improved. Several guests felt that their room was just a bit too dark. While that lighting may be welcome at some times, there was no way to really brighten it up when that was called for.
