The four star Höldrichsmühle hotel is in Hinterbrühl in the UNESCO recognised biosphere reserve of Vienna Woods. A former mill, it attracted artists and musicians in the 19th century and Schubert was inspired by the setting here to write “Der Lindenbaum”. Its 44 rooms are divided into single, double and double superior categories, with in addition two rooms designated as honeymoon rooms. All rooms have en-suite facilities, satellite TV, minibar, phone, hairdryer and wifi access. The large lobby incorporates, as well as a reception, a café-bar and separate lounge area. Off the lobby is the two-room restaurant. Seven conference rooms in varying sizes are available for corporate events and meetings. For recreation there is a sauna and sundeck, and garden terrace. Adjoining the hotel is a riding stable owned by the hotel, which offers riding through the Vienna Woods as well as riding lessons. There are also biking and hiking trails in the Woods with access close to the hotel. Vienna is easily accessible by a half-hourly train service from Mödling, about 2 miles away.
