Halliwell Country Inn

Originally built as a fortified farmhouse in the 1830's and set on 250 acres of rolling lawn and forests overlooking the Karkloof Valley, Old Halliwell captures the charms and traditions of a more gracious age. Large en-suite rooms leading off from the garden with open fire places, heated towel rails, TV, tea/coffee making facilities and scenic views from your private verandah, honeymoon suites in addition have spa baths and underfloor heating. The main building now houses a library/games room, lounge, cosy bar and cigar lounge, wrap around verandah and Restaurant. Enhancing the landscaping is the Old Halliwell Rest Home for horses where loving owners have sent their fine steed to recuperate or retire in lush green pastures in the heart of the Midlands. Halliwell Hall has the capacity for up to 350 guests for weddings or Conferencing but can be partitioned off for smaller more intimate gatherings. Smithy's Chapel seats 120, with Pool side gazebo, horse & carriage hire and beautiful photographic gardens. Old Halliwell is ideal for any celebration.
