Hampton Inn Portsmouth Central's bathrooms have more than enough high quality towels and excellent soaps, creams, and other toiletries. When you choose this hotel, you will not have to worry on bringing your own hygiene stuff. When supplies run out, you can easily ask the front desk staff for more.
Many guests take advantage of this complimentary service especially when going to downtown. When avail the hotel's free shuttle service, you can expect that you'll reach your destination fast and safe.
Some guests expressed that the staff members in the front desk were not as friendly as the other staff members were. They seem ignorant, and guests found it difficult to make a request. If you experience poor customer service at this establishment, you may wish to speak directly to the manager.
Some of the rooms have a bad smell that the management tried to cover up with fresh carpet and sprays. You may ask an immediate room transfer when you experience this issue. Some guests however just opened their windows to let in fresh air and push out the foul smell.
There are scratches and black marks in some of the rooms. The hotel can do better if they repaint the walls. However, this did not interfere with the comfort provided by the hotel.
