Facilities & Amenities
Guests frequently highlight the convenience of the on-site bar and restaurant, which serve as central hubs for dining and socializing. The bar is often described as cozy and a pleasant spot for a pint, while the restaurant provides a comfortable setting for meals. The availability of a function room is also noted, making it suitable for events and gatherings. Many appreciate the ample and easily accessible parking spaces, adding to the convenience for those traveling by car. Some reviews mention sports on TV in the bar area, contributing to a lively atmosphere. It's important to note that the establishment has been undergoing ongoing renovations, which guests generally view positively, enhancing the overall appeal and comfort of the premises.
Cleanliness & Room Comfort
Feedback on room comfort and cleanliness is somewhat mixed, though most guests find the beds comfortable and the rooms generally clean. Many appreciate the spacious nature of the rooms, providing ample space for relaxation. However, some guests have reported issues with rooms being cold, indicating inconsistent heating or a need to request it. There are also mentions of noise from the bar below or outside areas, particularly on weekends, which can impact sleep quality for some. Isolated comments refer to dated decor, stained carpets, or minor issues like mould in the bathroom, a loose toilet seat, or a temperamental shower flush, suggesting that while efforts are made, some areas could benefit from updates.
Dining & Food Quality
The food receives overwhelmingly positive reviews, consistently described as delicious, fantastic, and offering excellent value. Guests rave about the menu variety and the hearty, flavorful dishes served. Popular recommendations include the chicken wings, Sunday roast with gravy, pizza, prawn and chorizo linguine, fish and chips, and Indian curry. The bar food is also highly praised for its quality and taste. While the majority of comments on breakfast are positive, describing it as beautiful and very good, a few guests found it disappointing, greasy, or overpriced, and noted that it is often not included in the room rate or served at a late hour.

Additional Information
Guests should be aware that the establishment has been undergoing ongoing renovations, which, while generally positive, might mean certain areas or services are temporarily affected, such as the bar being closed for a period. A recurring point of feedback concerns breakfast availability and timing; it is often not included in the room rate, and the serving time, typically starting at 10 AM, can be too late for guests needing an early start.
