Situated in an enviable spot in downtown Malacca, Heeren By The River is a new boutique hotel that has been created by converting three 19th century Anglo-Chinese row houses. The rooms are well furnished and equipped, featuring lovely hardwood or tiled floors, flat-screen TVs with Astro channels, tea/coffee stations, free Wi-Fi and luxury bedding for a good night’s rest. Some rooms have balconies with views over the Malacca River. The reception staff can assist with basic concierge services. Limited parking is available onsite. There are no dining facilities at Heeren By The River, but a terrific choice in restaurants on the busy streets outside. Sid’s Pub is just across the road and the perfect spot for a cold Tiger Beer. Being situated right in the historic core means that many of this World Heritage city’s best attractions are just moments away. Jonker Walk, the ruined St Paul’s Church and Dutch Square are all less than 10 minutes walk away.
