New mattresses atop adjustable beds appease all types, while exceptional soundproofing means that in spite of the many planes passing closely overhead, you won't be awoken by their engines.
Staff are routinely recognized in reviews and credited with making stays effortless. Smiling shuttle staff are a delightful first point of contact, kind and efficient front-of-house staff ensure checking in and out is a breeze, while bar and breakfast staff and fun, friendly and attentive.
Historically, there have been a slew of complaints about strong smells of cigarettes, especially on the 4th floor. Rooms here are particularly affected, while corridors are apparently even worse, with very ingrained odors. Very recent reviews suggest smoking is now banned throughout the hotel.
One of few consistent complaints relates to AC units. Old machines are extremely loud; so loud, in fact, as to render the TV inaudible and sleep impossible. During warmer months this is a real issue, causing guests to choose between being uncomfortably hot or kept awake by noise.
