The hotel is in great condition, and although some parts could do with a refurb, it is kept very clean. The housekeeping staff try their very best to make sure that there isn't a speck of dirt anywhere in the hotel.
If you are driving then this is an ideal location for your stay. It's got a free on-site car park, and you'll find that many of the local sights are easily accessed from the hotel. It's not close enough to walk anywhere but not too far to drive.
