The hotel price is extremely affordable, especially considering the Colorado Springs area which typically has higher rates than other areas of the country. For such a cheap price, guests get a functional and comfortable room with a small kitchenette and free WiFi and all that topped with friendly and personal service.

The hotel is out of the way, but not so far off the beaten path to be inconvenient. You can easily drive to dozens of restaurants as well as many parks and recreational activities and attractions.

The views from the west side of the property and rooms are simply stunning. A glance outside the window brings gorgeous vistas of Pikes Peak and Cheyenne Mountain. The view isn't so bad inside either, as the rooms are both nicely equipped and spacious.

Many of the residents here are long term and am quite familiar with the place. They can often be seen lounging in the common areas and can be quite loud. Some treat the place more like a home than a hotel and their constant presence makes some guests feel uncomfortable and unsafe.

If you need a little extra help here and there, expect to pay for the service. The kitchen doesn't come with utensils, so if you want to cook then you'll have to pay. Housekeeping comes only once per week, so if you want your room freshened up then you'll have to pay. Also, there are no hair dryers or complimentary coffee so if you need these things you'll have to go and buy them.

The hotel shows signs of wear and tear and is far from the trendy and modern chain hotels you might be used to. It's also located off the typical tourist scene in a residential neighborhood with few shops or markets.
