The Homewood Suites San Antonio-Riverwalk Downtown is a historic building, and so few rooms are exactly identical in size or layout. However, guests consistently describe them as spacious and comfortable, with a nice choice of pillows on the cozy beds. Some rooms offer a view of the river. Guests also enjoy the view of the city from the sunny rooftop area, which features a small swimming pool.

The front desk team has received many rave reviews Many guests comment on their friendly, polite manner and good suggestions for restaurants. Compliments also go to the chef; guests are generally pleased with the day-to-day variety in the buffet and the evening receptions.
Ready for an update..
Though many guests have described their rooms as clean, some have found the furnishings and bathrooms to be worn and dated. Interior renovations are scheduled for the end of 2015.
Several guests have been dismayed to find cigarette odor wafting into their rooms from the hallways or nearby smoking rooms. Some were also disappointed to find guests smoking on the rooftop, particularly given the little ones there to enjoy the pool.
Mandatory valet parking and spotty Wi-Fi..
Guests note that there is no self parking, and the valet charges are widely considered pricey but not out of line for the area. A few guests also found the Wi-Fi signal a little weak.
