Located three miles from Tampa International Airport you are as close as you can be and with free airport shuttle service, you can get to your flight on time with little hassle.
A warm, helpful and dedicated staff welcomes you at check-in and is there for the duration of your stay. They are happy to accommodate most any request and they can point you in the direction of places to eat and the most popular local attractions.
It's great that this hotel welcomes pets, especially for those who like to travel with their favorite four-legged friends. However guests have commented that there are fees and restrictions that apply to this plus point.
This hotel offers both non-smoking and smoking rooms which is quite evident, because when you step over the threshold of a room that has housed smokers in the past, the acrid, stale smell of second-hand smoke is hard to miss. If this is a problem for you, be sure to state your preference for a non-smoking room upon booking, and then again at check-in.
The studios at Homewood Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport-Westshore are pretty small which is fine if you're traveling alone. But if that is not the case or you have a lot of luggage in tow, or need extra room to maneuver, it's probably best to upgrade to a one-bedroom suite.
Sometimes the housekeeping at this hotel is OK but sometimes it really misses the mark. Carpeting that needs better vacuuming, stained linens, trash left behind and hairs left in places they shouldn't be can detract from your stay.
