The front desk staff at Hyatt Regency Rochester are very fast to respond to any questions or issues that you may have and will do so in a friendly and professional way. They are really accommodating, helpful and keen to ensure you are enjoying your stay with them.
The hotel is situated on the river, with lovely views. It is just down the street from the music hall and close to the Blue Cross Arena. Lots of attractions are within easy walking distance and its proximity to the Convention Center is great.
The beds are nicely comfortable and guestrooms display a pleasingly high level of cleanliness, as do the bathrooms and all public areas. The pool area and fitness center are well presented and good places to spend some time if you don't feel like leaving the building.
The walls at Hyatt Regency Rochester seem very thin. If the people in the room next to you are being noisy then you will definitely hear it, especially if there is an adjoining door. Sounds travel in from hallways too and if you are situated near an ice machine, then this might annoy you as well.
While comfortable, the guestrooms and bathrooms feel slightly tired and could use something of a revamp. Some of the furnishings and fixtures seem as though they have seen better days and a bit of refreshment would do the world of good.
While the hotel is generally very clean, you might find that the housekeeping service is somewhat sporadic. Your room won't always be tended to when you would expect it to be.
