Facilities & Amenities
Guests appreciate the range of facilities available, though some aspects receive mixed feedback. Wi-Fi is consistently praised for being fast and reliable, ensuring guests can stay connected. While some rooms are equipped with air conditioning, many guests report that it is either absent, noisy, or ineffective, especially in the annex building, leading to discomfort during warmer periods. A sauna is available for relaxation, which some guests found beneficial. Each room typically includes a kettle with tea and coffee provisions, a welcome convenience. However, the absence of a mini-fridge in rooms is a common point of contention for those wishing to keep drinks or snacks cool. The hotel also has an elevator, though some rooms, particularly in the annex, are not accessible by it, requiring guests to carry luggage up stairs. Parking is available on-site for a fee, but its tight layout can be challenging for larger vehicles.
Cleanliness & Room Comfort
Feedback on room cleanliness and comfort is varied. Many guests describe their rooms as exceptionally clean and quiet, ensuring a restful stay, with comfortable beds and quality linens contributing to a good night's sleep. However, a significant number of reviews highlight concerns, mentioning dust under beds, on surfaces, and hair in bathrooms, indicating inconsistent cleaning standards. Some bathrooms are described as old and obsolete, lacking modern amenities like sufficient power outlets, and some show signs of mold or general wear. Rooms can vary greatly in size, with some being spacious while others are noted as very small, making it difficult to open luggage. Noise levels are generally low, but some guests experienced disturbances from hallway noise, banging doors, or a noisy heating/AC unit, impacting overall tranquility.
Dining & Food Quality
The hotel's breakfast service generally receives positive reviews, with many guests describing it as very good, rich, tasty, and fresh, offering a substantial start to the day. The breakfast variety is often highlighted, providing ample options to satisfy different preferences. Guests particularly appreciate the availability of various coffee types made from freshly ground beans. While the quality is largely praised, some guests find the breakfast to be somewhat basic or limited in selection, and a few consider it to be on the more expensive side for what is offered. In the lobby, complimentary coffee and tea are available around the clock, which is a much-appreciated amenity for guests. The hotel does not feature a full-service restaurant for other meals, but its central location provides easy access to numerous dining options nearby.

It is situated just a short walk, typically around five to ten minutes, from the train station, facilitating easy arrivals and departures. Similarly, the city center and pedestrian zone, with their array of shops and restaurants, are also within a few minutes' walk, allowing guests to explore the local area effortlessly. This prime position makes it an ideal base for those visiting Offenburg or using it as a transit point for onward travel to destinations like Strasbourg. Parking is available on-site for a fee, which is a significant advantage in a central area, though some guests found the parking lot to be quite tight and challenging to navigate, especially with larger vehicles or when a bus is present.
Staff & Service
The staff at the hotel consistently receives high praise for their friendliness, helpfulness, and professionalism. Many guests highlight the team's accommodating nature, noting their willingness to go out of their way to assist with requests, such as early check-ins or room changes. The check-in process is generally described as smooth and efficient, contributing to a positive first impression. Guests appreciate the attentive service, whether it's providing information about the local area, assisting with luggage, or addressing concerns promptly. While the vast majority of feedback is positive, a few isolated incidents mention minor communication issues or perceived unfriendliness during specific interactions, particularly concerning billing or parking inquiries. Overall, the dedication of the staff significantly enhances the guest experience, making many feel welcome and valued.
Additional Information
Guests should be aware that the hotel comprises a main building and an older annex building, often referred to as "the Villa," where rooms may lack air conditioning and elevator access, and are generally described as more dated and less soundproof. For members of the loyalty program, the hotel provides rewards program benefits such as welcome amenities and potential room upgrades, which are well-received.
