The Imperial Hotel is located in the heart of The Old Town, on the corner of the southern frontage of The Main Square and Wislna Street. The hotel is situated in a renovated ducal tenement called 'Pod Kapistranem'. The tenement's history dates back to the XIV century when it belonged to Mazowieccy Dukes. Over the course of centuries, it hosted outstanding figures such as Turkish legation who was on the way to Poznan to Jan Albert Manor, as well as, mentioned before, Franciscan Jan Kapistran (Giovanni Capistrano) who used to give sermons on the local Market Square. According to the legend, the tenement was the house of the wizard, Master Jan Twardowski (Laurentius Dhur) who used to explore the secrets of alchemy at the Medical Department of Cracow Academy. The hotel's interiors combine both elegant classic and practical modernity. They evoke the spirit of Old Cracow and provide high service standard and comfortable conditions at the same time. The windows outlook of the biggest monumental Market Square in Europe will leave you with unforgettable, breathtaking impressions.
