Hotel Inglaterra (Granada, Spain)

This property's location - in the heart of Granada's old city - was most impressive. Guests were delighted to find that many of the city's main sites - its major plazas, squares, museums and cathedrals - were all within close proximity of this hotel. But it's the Alhambra that's the main draw here; indeed, many were happy to find that the UNESCO Heritage listed site is only a short stroll from this hotel.

Based on the comments of past guests, the reception staff at this hotel are courteous and helpful. Many report that they are more than willing to go the extra mile for guests, offering assistance with local public transport and even local excursions.

If you like tapas, then this might be the property for you. A high number of guests remarked on the density of tapas bars in the streets surrounding the hotel. It's certainly not a bad thing; indeed, visitors were delighted to be spoiled for choice.

While the accommodation here was solid, a few were disappointed to find that rooms offered the bare basics. A number of guests also felt that the size was a bit tight, even for a city centre hotel. As advertised, this hotel does offer views of the Alhambra, but a number of guests have reported that many units are completely without any kind of external vista.

Additionally, a number of guests were bemused to find that the lift at this property stops at the third floor. This caused issues for those with heavy luggage and/or mobility issues.

While this hotel's staff took the time to e-mail guests directions prior to their arrival, many still reported issues navigating Granada's mediaeval streets.
