This hotel was once a 19th century manor house, carefully converted into a bespoke hotel, and everything about it has an antique feel. On top of that, the latest in modern comfort is offered right alongside this old world elegance.
You'll find it very hard to fault the service of the staff here, they have been trained to a very high level and know exactly how to provide five star customer service.
There is a little hidden extra that rears its ugly head at the end of your stay, and that comes in the form of a ‘resort fee'. All that free equipment like kayaks and such, things you thought were included in the room price, well that's what the ‘resort fee' is for.
All in all this hotel is very nice, but the room rate they ask for is perhaps punching a bit high. If you decide to shell out your cash for a room here you might feel a little hard done by.
To be truly worthy of its five star status Inn at Perry Cabin by Belmond needs to pay more attention to the little things and keep itself in tip top condition. You could across areas of the hotel that look at bit tired or worn.
