Before the property was a hotel, it was home to a prestigious athletic club that had luxurious sporting facilities. Among these was a swimming pool that the hotel has maintained since taking over. The indoor pool is heated making it perfect all year round
The hotel’s price for parking and valet services was alarming high according to guests. Downtown Chicago is known for high parking prices; however, there are some cheaper overnight parking alternatives nearby.
Guests state that several areas of the hotels had a long line that required them to wait. The front desk was very slow in dealing with customers and checking-in guests according to visitors while the concierge and Starbucks can also see long lines at time
The hotel has two towers, a 42-storey building and 28-storey building, which means using the elevator is a necessity. Guests point out that the elevators servicing the buildings are slow and using them can be a frustrating experience.
