Hotel Jayleen 1918 (Singapore, Singapore)

The members of staff are very polite, friendly and proficient. Inquiries and complaints are hurriedly and expertly handled. The reception staff are very approachable, accommodating and check you in and out very professionally. They do not hesitate to offer you tips on nearby local attractions that might be of interest to guests.

The hotel is strategically positioned close to several amenities. There are a number of attraction sites that interest guests in the area such as Boat Quay which is just a few minutes' walk away from the hotel. Singapore Parliament House is also a short walking distance from the hotel.

The rooms are well decorated. The furniture is elegant and well maintained and blends in well with the overall idea of the hotel. Bathrooms are very clean and the showers are great. The bathtubs are also very roomy.

A few guests have complained about the signal quality of the Wi-Fi provided by the hotel. It appears to be not quite as strong as expected in a few of the rooms. At the public areas it also keeps disappearing.

A good majority of guests found the breakfast menu to be lacking in selection. Those on special diets did not feel adequately catered to. Some were of the opinion that the food's quality was inferior and the selection was not as varied as was expected.

A few guests noted a damp and oppressive smell in some areas of the hotel such as the bathrooms and the corridors. The odour did not seem to go away despite the presence of air conditioner being on throughout.
