This also makes it easier to stay out later and check out local hotspots and nightlife, since the hotel isn't too far to return to.

There are clear signs of smokers having used the rooms, as many cigarette burns are noticeable on the furniture. It's a visual turn-off, and disappoints guests that the furnishings have not been repaired or replaced.

Shady looking and behaving people loiter near the hotel, which makes guests uneasy. Management doesn't seem bothered by the occurrence, and don't make any efforts to make them leave the premises.

Housekeeping seems to be at a low, as there's minimal evidence that rooms are entirely refreshed between guest use. There are stained and frayed linens and towels, garbage, and furniture and furnishings in clear disarray, and the bathrooms are just as bad. They're dirty, grimy, and bear signs of mould.
