Many guests have noted that this property appears to have been recently remodeled. This hasn't gone unnoticed, with a number of visitors commenting on the refreshed look. When it comes to getting a good night's rest, this hotel has it covered, with lots of positive comments on just how comfortable the beds are here.
As a known vacation destination, prices on South Padre Island can get a little steep. However, this place seems to be great for a beach vacation on a budget. No, it's not right on the beach, but for many, the service is top-notch and the amenities are good and solid.
If you're hoping to go bar-hopping, this might not be the place for you. But if you'd like to be close to some of the island's natural attractions, you're in luck. A number of guests used this place as their base from which to explore Laguna Madre Bay and the nearby beaches.
For some, the exterior of this Knights Inn location was a little dated. Others were disappointed by the rather small pool area which was prone to crowding during peak times.
Once a Ramada property, this hotel has recently changed hands. Unfortunately, this change of name caused no end of confusion for a number of guests, who ended up booking at the wrong property.
There are reports of a resort fee being levied here. Given that this is a budget hotel, many were bewildered by this charge. Finally, while guests were grateful for the breakfast buffet, it was noted that offerings here were decidedly carb heavy, with some pining for protein.
