Situated in the heart of downtown Taos’ historic district, Hotel La Fonda de Taos continues a long history of offering weary travelers warm hospitality and comfortable accommodation. Decorated in calming earth tomes, the rooms offer guests a cozy hideaway. Each features ceiling fan, flat screen TV, coffee maker, hairdryer, clock radio and telephone. Reception staff are available to assist with local information and other matters, while there is on-site parking available for a fee. The Karavas Conference Center can accommodate up to 700 guests. There is no in-house restaurant, but staff have prepared a foodie itinerary and will be happy to recommend the very best local restaurants for your needs. D.H. Lawrence’s “Forbidden Art” collection is housed in the building and guests have free access to it during their stay. Taos’ historic center also has a number of art galleries and is a charming place just to stroll and take in the atmosphere.
