Situated in the heart o Quebec City’s Old Town and just steps from the incredible Chateau Frontenac and La Citadelle de Quebec, La Marquise de Bassano B&B offers stylish and delightfully quirky accommodation. All five rooms have been painstakingly restored. Each has a unique design and décor and has been furnished to a very high standard. While they may look like they come from a kinder and gentler age, they nevertheless feature all the modern conveniences. Guests are welcome to use the cosy lounge. It has cable TV for you to watch your favourite shows, but more importantly, there is a roaring fire going in winter and the owners occasionally offer a glass of wine to appreciative guests. A delicious and extensive continental buffet breakfast is available every morning, which includes freshly baked croissants and chocolatines. Being in the centre of the Old Town, all the city’s main attractions and amenities are within easy walking distance of La Marquise de Bassano B&B.

Just as breakfast is the first meal of the day, it was often the first thing guests mentioned in their reviews. They simply couldn't speak highly enough of it, saying that the hosts went above and beyond by creating a very varied continental buffet of delicious foods at a much higher standard than is typical of B&B's.
Guests simply couldn't say enough good things about the hosts, Veronyc, Anik and Francis. They were not only described as welcoming and friendly, arguably traits expected of innkeepers, but they were also said to posses a great sense of humour and willingness to relate great stories about the region. It was said that Francis' family have owned the property for several generations.
Guests couldn't possibly criticise the location of the B&B. Most were tourists, rather than those on business, and found the location to be perfect for their needs. They loved that all the cafes, bars and other amenities of the town were right there in the surrounding streets. They were especially impressed with the proximity of the Chateau Frontenac and the Fort, which were both said to be just steps away.
Some guests travelling in mid summer mentioned that their room could get quite hot. Due, in part, to the historical character of the building, no air conditioning is installed in the rooms.
