Situated in a great position just off the I-90, La Quinta Inn Missoula is an attractive mountain-style property offering comfortable accommodation and great leisure amenities.
The rooms have basic decor, but are well equipped. Each features flat screen TV, ultra-fast Wi-Fi, microwave, minibar, coffee maker, work desk, telephone, iron, hairdryer and alarm clock. Some rooms also have a jetted bath.
The indoor pool and hot tub are the undisputed stars of the show, but business travelers may be more impressed with the business center and meeting rooms. All will appreciate the ample free parking on-site.
A comprehensive breakfast of continental staples, as well as hot foods like bacon, eggs and sausages, is available every morning. There ate a couple of restaurants nearby, including a Cracker Barrel.
Missoula is in a great spot for outdoor pursuits, from hiking to hunting. Its town center is also attractive, and is 3.5 miles from the hotel.
A number of guests found the beds to be particularly comfortable. It is always hard for a hotel to select a mattress with genuinely broad appeal, since peoples preferences are so different. It seems that the hotel may have succeeded in this instance.
positive:
Close to the interstate
This seemed to be an unreserved positive feature. Guests explained that being close to the interstate meant that the hotel was easy to find initially and that it was just as easy to quickly access the highway and be on their way to where they needed to be with a minimum of fuss.
positive:
Real crockery and cutlery
While not mentioned often, it was reported that this La Quinta property, unlike some others, uses real crockery and cutlery, rather than their disposable cousins. Guests found this much classier.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms a little small
A couple of guests, typically in the standard rooms, thought that they were a bit small. It wasn't that they found them uncomfortable, but rather that they were a lot smaller than they had expected.
negative:
Pool area a bit run-down
While guests did appreciate having them available, they said that the area the pool and hot tub is in looks a bit run down. In their view it needs quite a bit of work to get up to a modern standard.
negative:
Lots of dog poop outside
The La Quinta Group is well known for its exceptionally pet friendly policies. As a result, its hotels attract a great deal of guest with dogs. While this was certainly appreciated by pet owners, some other guests mentioned that it can create problems, One of these was there was said to be a build up of dog poop left on the grounds outside the hotel.
