Several guests commented that the staff at the hotel were simply lovely. Those on road trips were especially pleased to be offered a warm welcome and friendly service after enduring a long, and sometimes exhausting, trip up.

Several guests were happy to report that they really didn't need to travel far to stock up on supplies or find a great place for the whole family to eat. It was mentioned that there was a convenient mall right across the road.

A number of guests mentioned that the hotel was looking a bit tired, and that it was a bit past its due date for a makeover. For the most part they didn't have any problem with functionality, it was simply that both the rooms and public areas looked a bit drab.

While the food itself was actually well-received, guests did experience a couple of problems at breakfast time. Firstly, some said that they stopped serving it too early, especially at weekends, making them have to rush downstairs before it was all taken away. Secondly, staff were a little slow with replenishment.

Curiously, a couple of guests mentioned that their rooms felt damp and humid. They were concerned this may encourage the growth of mold and cause health issues.
