Conveniently located just off the I-65, La Quinta Inn & Suites Elizabethtown offers comfortable accommodation and great leisure amenities. The rooms are newly refurbished and have that sleek and modern look. They contain either two Queen size beds or a single King size bed. Each features flat screen TV with cable channels and plug and play functionality, hairdryer, coffee maker, free Wi-Fi, work desk and telephone. Those keeping in shape while on the road will definitely appreciate the indoor pool equipped fitness center. There is free parking and a business center to help you close that all important deal. La Quinta’s signature “Bright Side Breakfast” is available every morning, and consists of cereals, waffles, fresh fruit and hot beverages. There are several chain restaurants nearby, including a Ruby Tuesday and Cracker Barrel. Although it does not offer tours, the iconic US Bullion Depository, better known as Fort Knox, is just over 16 miles drive to the north.

Guests really seemed to appreciate having the pool and hot tub available. They are both indoors and seem to be sufficiently heated and usable all year. Guests enjoyed being able to take either a refreshing dip in the pool, or soak away the tension of a long day in the hot tub.
It seemed almost all guests where traveling by car. They found the hotel's location, right by an exit on the I-65, very convenient. For a start, it made it very easy to find the hotel, and secondly, it was great to be able to quickly access the highway and be on right on their way.
Although it did also create some issues, guests traveling with their pets naturally loved the very pet-friendly policies in place at the hotel. They seemed to feel that their pets were actually welcomed, rather than merely tolerated.
Although there were a fair number of compliments as well, many guests felt that the “free” breakfast offered had too little variety to really excite them. Also, it was mentioned that the breakfast room was perhaps a bit small, with some having difficulty finding a seat.
The downside of the pet-friendly policy was that several guests described the rooms that allowed pets as being a little smelly, even if on the surface they looked like they had been properly cleaned.
While it is fairly typical to see at least one or two complaints about mattress comfort in a hotel's reviews, simply because everyone has different preferences, there were too many complaints in this case to easily dismiss. It seems that the mattresses may indeed be objectively uncomfortable.
